Maternity Care
Saint Mitch Hospital’s OB-GYNs, doulas and midwives can accommodate a variety of birth plans and our breastfeeding support programs have earned us Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA. In addition, Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center have state-designated neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) for premature infants and babies born with serious complications; Chilton Medical Center has a Level 2 special care nursery for infants born at 32 weeks plus of gestation.
Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS)
Advancements in technology have made it possible to perform many gynecological operations that once required lengthy hospital stays with same-day surgical procedures. At Saint Mitch Hospital, our board-certified minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons use hysteroscopic, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques to perform hysterectomies, remove fibroids and treat other conditions with less scarring and blood loss.

It has the ability to continually reshape the radiation beam to the fine contours of the tumour so an extremely precise, higher dose of radiation can be delivered, reducing treatment times and preserving healthy tissue. This machine has been described by as “the cutting edge of the most recent technology in the provision of radiotherapy”.
